Gunjiin Sum, ”Temple of the princess”, is located inside Gorkhi-Terelj Natural Park, around Khuh chuluut rock in the area of Baruunbayan, 140 kilometers Northeast of the Ulaanbaatar. In 1699, Manchurian princess, sixth daughter of Enkh-Amgalan khan, came to Khalkh area and becoming queen for Dondovdorj, man from Mongolian noble family.

Despite the rigid task of a princess, who became a queen in a foreign country, she was loyal to her husband. She died in the 1740s and wrote in her will: "I got married to Mongolian man and I had already been a Mongolian so I had a desire to stay under the ground of Mongolia”.Dondovdorj built a temple for his queen, it is called Gunjiin sum now. Gorkhi-Terelj national park is considered one of the most scenic areas in all of Mongolia and is a short drive outside of the capital. Pass through breathtaking scenery we will reach Zuugiin rashaan Spring.
